Terms And Conditions

Carpet Cleaning Hackney Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of carpet and related cleaning services by Carpet Cleaning Hackney to residential and commercial customers within its service area. By booking or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below.

Customer means the individual, company, or other entity booking or receiving services from Carpet Cleaning Hackney.

Company means Carpet Cleaning Hackney, the provider of the services described in these Terms and Conditions.

Services means carpet cleaning and any additional cleaning or related services agreed between the Company and the Customer.

Premises means the property, site, or location at which the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract formed between the Customer and the Company when a booking is confirmed, incorporating these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet cleaning and related services in Hackney and surrounding areas. The exact scope of Services for each booking will be as described in the confirmation issued to the Customer.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Services are limited to the areas and items specifically listed in the booking confirmation. Additional work requested on the day may be accepted at the Companys discretion and may incur extra charges.

The Company will use reasonable care and skill in performing the Services, in accordance with industry practice and the information provided by the Customer at the time of booking.

3. Booking Process

Bookings may be made by the Customer through the Companys chosen booking channels, such as online booking forms or written enquiries. A booking is considered an offer by the Customer to purchase Services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

The Company will confirm availability and provide a quotation based on the information supplied by the Customer, including property size, number of rooms, type of carpets, condition, and any special requirements. Quotations are given in good faith but are based on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.

An Agreement is formed only when the Company issues a booking confirmation to the Customer. The Company reserves the right to refuse any booking request at its discretion, without the need to provide a reason.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all details in the booking confirmation are correct and must promptly notify the Company of any errors or changes.

4. Customer Obligations

The Customer must ensure that the Premises are accessible on the agreed date and time, and that there is adequate space, lighting, power, and hot water for the performance of the Services.

The Customer must remove, or arrange for the removal of, fragile, valuable, or easily damaged items from the areas to be cleaned prior to the arrival of the Companys operatives. The Company will not be responsible for moving heavy furniture, personal items, or breakables unless this has been expressly agreed in advance.

The Customer must inform the Company in advance of any known hazards, health and safety issues, or material risks at the Premises, including but not limited to defective flooring, loose fixtures, or contamination.

The Customer must also notify the Company of any pre-existing stains, damage, or weaknesses in carpets, rugs, upholstery, or flooring, especially if they may be affected by cleaning solutions, heat, or moisture.

5. Pricing and Quotations

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive or inclusive of any applicable taxes as stated in the quotation. The Company reserves the right to adjust prices if the scope of work changes or if the information provided by the Customer was incomplete or inaccurate.

Where a quotation is provided without an in-person inspection, it is an estimate only. The final price may be adjusted on site if the actual condition or size of the carpets and areas differs materially from the description originally provided by the Customer.

Any additional work requested by the Customer that is outside the original scope will be chargeable at the Companys prevailing rates or as agreed between the parties before the additional Services are carried out.

6. Payments

Payment terms will be specified at the time of booking. The Company may require full or partial payment in advance, or payment on completion of the Services, depending on the nature of the job and the Customers status.

The Company may accept payment by cashless methods such as bank transfer or card payment. The available payment methods will be confirmed to the Customer during the booking process.

Where payment is not made at the time of service, invoices are payable within the payment period stated on the invoice. The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the statutory rate permitted under the law of England and Wales, as well as reasonable administration and recovery costs.

Failure to pay in accordance with these terms may result in suspension of further Services and may lead to legal action for recovery of the outstanding sums.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing the notice period specified by the Company at the time of booking. Where no specific period is stated, the Customer must give at least 48 hours notice before the scheduled start time.

If the Customer cancels with less than the required notice, the Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full amount of the quoted price, to cover costs and loss of opportunity.

If the Company is unable to gain access to the Premises at the agreed time, or if the Premises are not ready for the Services to be carried out, this may be treated as a late cancellation and subject to the same charges.

The Company may cancel or reschedule the booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as illness, equipment failure, severe weather, or traffic disruption. In such cases, the Company will offer to reschedule the appointment at a mutually convenient time. The Company will not be liable for any loss arising from such cancellation or rescheduling.

8. Service Standards and Results

The Company will use professional products and equipment to deliver a high standard of cleaning. However, the Customer acknowledges that the outcome of carpet cleaning can be affected by age, type of material, level of soiling, and the nature and duration of stains.

No guarantee is given that all stains will be removed, or that any particular result will be achieved. Some stains may be permanent and cannot be fully removed by cleaning. The Company will not be liable for any condition that could not have been reasonably identified in advance.

Where the Customer is dissatisfied with an aspect of the Services, they must notify the Company as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 24 hours of completion. The Company may, at its discretion, arrange a re-visit to inspect and, where appropriate, attempt to rectify the issue.

9. Damage and Liability

The Company will take reasonable care when providing the Services. If damage is caused directly by the negligence of the Company or its operatives, the Company will, at its discretion, arrange for repair, replacement, or compensation, subject to the limitations set out in this section.

The Company will not be liable for wear, discolouration, fading, shrinkage, or damage to carpets or fabrics where such issues arise from pre-existing conditions, latent defects, the nature of the material, or reactions to cleaning agents that could not reasonably have been foreseen.

The Company will not be responsible for damage resulting from the Customer failing to inform the Company of particular sensitivities, weaknesses, or material types that require special handling.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Companys total liability in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms and Conditions, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Customer for the Services giving rise to the claim.

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profit, revenue, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms and Conditions.

10. Access, Parking, and Safety

The Customer is responsible for providing suitable access to the Premises and, where necessary, for arranging parking for the Companys vehicles. Any parking charges or permits required for the duration of the Services will be the responsibility of the Customer and may be added to the final invoice.

For health and safety reasons, the Customer must ensure that children, pets, and other occupants are kept away from areas where cleaning is in progress, from equipment, and from wet or recently cleaned surfaces until it is safe to enter.

11. Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

The Company will handle and dispose of any waste generated in the course of providing the Services in accordance with applicable waste management and environmental regulations in the United Kingdom.

Any waste removed from the Premises by the Company will be managed responsibly and, where appropriate, taken to authorised waste or recycling facilities.

The Customer is responsible for notifying the Company in advance of any hazardous or special waste present at the Premises, such as clinical waste, chemical residues, or contaminated materials. The Company may refuse to handle such waste if it is not properly declared or if the Company is not licensed or equipped to deal with it.

The Customer must not request or require the Company to dispose of waste in any unlawful manner, including dumping, fly-tipping, or use of unauthorised locations. The Company reserves the right to refuse any such request and may terminate the Agreement immediately if the Customer insists on unlawful disposal practices.

12. Insurance

The Company maintains insurance cover appropriate for the nature of its carpet cleaning activities, including public liability insurance. Details of insurance cover can be made available to the Customer on reasonable request.

The existence of insurance does not extend or increase the Companys liability beyond the limits set out in these Terms and Conditions or as required by law.

13. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If the Customer has any complaint or concern regarding the Services, they should contact the Company as soon as reasonably practicable, providing full details and any supporting information.

The Company will investigate complaints in good faith and will seek to resolve issues promptly, which may include a re-visit or partial refund where appropriate and at the Companys discretion.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly between the parties, either party may pursue their rights through the courts of England and Wales in accordance with the governing law clause below.

14. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be in breach of these Terms and Conditions or liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power failures, transport disruption, accidents, civil unrest, or acts of government.

Where a force majeure event occurs, the Company will inform the Customer as soon as reasonably possible and will seek to re-arrange the Services at a mutually convenient time.

15. Amendments and Variations

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of the Customers booking will govern that particular Agreement.

Any variation to these Terms and Conditions must be agreed in writing between the Company and the Customer. Verbal assurances or statements shall not vary the terms of the Agreement unless confirmed in writing.

16. Personal Data

The Company may collect and process personal data relating to the Customer for the purposes of managing bookings, providing Services, processing payments, and maintaining records. The Company will handle such data in accordance with applicable data protection laws in the United Kingdom.

By making a booking, the Customer consents to the use of their personal data for these purposes. The Customer may request access to, or correction of, their personal data held by the Company, subject to legal limitations.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement formed under them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the Services, or any Agreement between the Company and the Customer.

Your continued use of Carpet Cleaning Hackney and its Services constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
